Hotel entrance: Access without steps to hotel and rooms. A ramp with ≤ 6% slope leads to the hotel and the rooms. Elevator available. Access not only through revolving door.
Reception: Reception desk /table lowered to 105 cm. Alternative equivalent possibility of communication while seated is available.
Doors and lifts: The entrance door and all doors leading to the rooms and in the rooms are 119 cm wide. Corridors leading to elevators, rooms and other facilities are 150 cm wide. An elevator can be reached without steps or via 1 step at the most. The entrance door to the elevator is 100 cm wide. The cabin depth of the elevator is 200 cm, cabin width 110 cm. The operating elements of the elevator are arranged horizontally at 85 cm height from the floor or vertically at 85 cm to 140 cm height. Free space for movement in front of the elevator is 150 x 150cm.
Room amenities: Free space for movement in front of the bathroom is 150 x 150 cm. The passage to one long side of the bed is 90 cm wide. Free space next to controls and fixtures (light switches, wardrobe etc.) is 120 cm. Each passage within a room is 90 cm wide. Fixtures and furniture elements extending into free spaces carry clearly visible markings and can be recognized by touch for safety.
Corridors and staircase: The entrance area and all corridors, stairs, elevators, rooms etc. are fitted with bright, antiglare lighting.
Accoustic signals: Receipt of an emergency call sent via the emergency button in the elevator is confirmed by an audio signal. There is also an optical response to an emergency call.
Signage at the hotel: The entrance area and all corridors, stairs, elevators, rooms etc. are fitted with bright, antiglare lighting. Operating elements / control devices (such as door handles, elevator buttons, light switches, power points, emergency buttons) are of contrasting colour/material and can be recognized by touch.
Disabled parking spaces: So-called disabled parking spaces are 350 cm wide and located near the entrance
Gastronomy: There is at least one table with a maximum height of 81 cm and appropriate chair. The guest toilets in the restaurant area meet the above named criteria (see bathrooms).
Special fixtures: In addition, essential information is provided in Braille (in the elivator). Entrances, passages and doors respectively doorframes are painted in colours contrasting with their surroundings, glass doors are fitted with contrasting strips.
Bathroom: The bathrooms in the rooms are accessible without steps.
Bathroom door: The door is 90 cm wide. Opening the door into the bathroom does not affect the free space for movement.
Washbasin: The area in front of the washbasin is 120 x 120 cm large. There is legroom underneath the washbasin. There is a mirror above the washbasin that can be used when seated or standing. The upper edge of the washbasin is 54 cm above the floor.
WC: Free space for movement in front of the WC is 110 x 95 cm. To the right and left of the WC is a free space of 95 cm width and 70 cm depth. To the right and left of the WC, handholds are installed at 85 cm height from the floor and at a distance of 15 cm from each other, extending 70 cm beyond the front edge of the toilet bowl. On the side of the WC, which is 95 cm wide and 70 cm deep, the handhold can be folded upwards and locked in place. The height of the toilet seat is 48 cm.
Shower: The shower has no step and can be accessed by wheelchair. Free space for movement in the shower is 155 x 90 cm. The shower has handholds starting at 85 cm height from the floor. A shower seat or chair is available.
Special fixtures in room: Hotels that have an acoustic alarm system also have optical alarm signals in the rooms. A television set with videotext decoder is provided. There is at least one easy-access socket
