Hotel entrance: Access without steps to hotel and rooms. Elevator available. Access not only through revolving door.
Room amenities: Free space for movement in front of the bathroom is approx. 150 x 150 cm. The passage to one long side of the bed is approx. 90 cm wide. Free space next to controls and fixtures (light switches, wardrobe etc.) is approx. 90 cm. Each passage within a room is approx. 90 cm wide. In front of the bathroom and in front of the passage to one long side of the bed there is a free space of approx. 80 cm. Fixtures and furniture elements extending into free spaces carry clearly visible markings and can be recognized by touch for safety.
Markings: The entrance area and all corridors, stairs, elevators, rooms etc. are fitted with bright, antiglare lighting. Entrances, passages and doors respectively doorframes are painted in colours contrasting with their surroundings, glass doors are fitted with contrasting strips. Operating elements / control devices (such as door handles, elevator buttons, light switches, power points, emergency buttons) are of contrasting colour/material and can be recognized by touch. - Reception: Alternative equivalent possibility of communication while seated is available.
Accoustic signals: Receipt of an emergency call sent via the emergency button in the elevator is confirmed by an audio signal.
Signage at the hotel: All signs and information panels show a clear light-dark contrast between background and writing.
Disabled parking spaces: So-called disabled parking spaces are 350 cm wide and located near the entrance.
Gastronomy: There is at least one table with a maximum height of 85 cm and appropriate chair. The guest toilets in the restaurant area meet the above named criteria (see bathrooms).
Bathroom: The bathrooms in the rooms are accessible without steps.
Bathroom door: The door is approx. 80 cm wide. Opening the door into the bathroom does not affect the free space for movement.
Washbasin: The area in front of the washbasin is approx. 150 x 150 cm large. There is legroom underneath the washbasin. There is a mirror above the washbasin that can be used when seated or standing The upper edge of the washbasin is approx. 80 cm above the floor. The space beneath the washbasin is up to 67 cm high and 30 cm deep to accommodate a wheelchair.
WC: Free space for movement in front of the WC is approx. 150 x 150 cm. To the right and left of the WC is a free space of approx. 95 cm width and approx. 70 cm depth. To the right and left of the WC, handholds are installed at 85 cm height from the floor and at a distance of 15 cm from each other, extending 70 cm beyond the front edge of the toilet bowl. On the side of the WC, which is 95 cm wide and 70 cm deep, the handhold can be folded upwards and locked in place. The height of the toilet seat is 48 cm.
Shower: The shower has no step and can be accessed by wheelchair. Free space for movement in the shower is approx. 150 x 150 cm. The shower has handholds starting at 85 cm height from the floor. A shower seat or chair is available.
