Historic Kaiserswerth

For centuries, Kaiserswerth was an important strategic base on the banks of the Rhine. The mighty ruins of the imperial palace of Emperor Frederick Barbarossa are stone witnesses of that era. Today Kaiserswerth, as a district of Düsseldorf, invites you to an idyllic stroll through the medieval alleys. We will also take you to the baroque houses on the old market square, the Rhine promenade with a view of the typical lower Rhine landscape and the St. Suitbertus basilica from the 11th century.

Please note that a visit to the basilica is not possible on Sundays and during church service times and rehearsals.
